This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you use the RHRS mobile app (pronounced “Rehearse”) and the website at rhrs.app (together, the “Service”). RHRS helps actors learn their lines and rehearse scenes with an AI scene partner.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by ELABORATE DIGITAL s.r.o., company ID (IČO) 07519559, with its registered office at Malobřevnovská 904/33, Břevnov, 169 00 Prague 6, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 302349 (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of your personal data.

2. What we collect and why
Account data. When you create an account, we collect your name and e-mail address. You can sign in with a one-time code sent to your e-mail, or with a supported account such as Google. We use this data to create your account, sign you in and keep it secure, and to send you messages about the Service (for example sign-in codes and important changes).
Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, e-mail address and profile picture from your Google account (the openid, email and profile scopes). We use this data only to create your account, sign you in and show your name in the app. We do not request access to your contacts, files, calendar or any other Google data. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to develop or train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Scripts and your content. You can upload scripts and other documents, and create notes, stage directions and edits. We store and process this content to show it to you in the app, to split it into scenes, characters and lines (this may be done with the help of AI services), and to share it with the people you invite to the same script.
Voice recordings. You can record your own lines. We store these recordings so you can play them back and so other members of the same script can rehearse with them. When you rehearse, the app processes your voice to check whether you said your line correctly. This check may run on your device or through a speech-recognition provider acting on our behalf. If audio from a rehearsal attempt is stored (for example so you can review an attempt that was marked as wrong), it is kept in your account and you can delete it. We do not use your recordings to identify you biometrically.
Generated voices. The AI scene partner reads the other characters’ lines with computer-generated voices. The text of those lines is sent to a text-to-speech provider to produce the audio.
Usage and device data. We collect technical data such as device type, operating-system and app version, crash reports and how features are used, so we can keep the Service working and improve it. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.
Notifications and feedback. If you allow notifications, we store a device token to send you notifications (for example lines you still need to record). If you send us feedback from the app, we receive your message and any screenshot or details you attach.
Invitations. When a member invites someone, we use that person’s email address to send the invitation and to check, when it is accepted, that it is really them (with a one-time code if they sign in with another address). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in letting members invite the people they rehearse with.
Website. On rhrs.app, we collect your e-mail address if you subscribe to our newsletter. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you allow them in our cookie settings; until then, they stay off.
We do not use your scripts, notes or voice recordings to train AI models. Our providers may use them only to provide their service to us.
3. Legal basis
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): your account, your content, recordings and the rehearsal features you ask for.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): keeping the Service secure, preventing abuse, fixing errors and understanding in aggregate how the Service is used.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): the newsletter, website analytics and marketing cookies, and push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): where the law requires us to keep records, for example accounting records if you buy a paid plan.
4. Who processes your data for us
We use carefully selected service providers (“processors”) who process personal data only on our instructions and under a data-processing agreement:
- cloud hosting, database and file storage;
- authentication and e-mail delivery;
- AI services for processing scripts, speech recognition and text-to-speech;
- analytics and crash reporting;
- push notifications;
- newsletter delivery (website);
- app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play), which handle downloads and any payments under their own privacy policies.

Other members of a script you share see your name, the content you add to it and your recordings for that script. We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. In that case we rely on an adequacy decision (such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards where needed.
6. How long we keep data
- Account data, scripts, notes and recordings: for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete this data within 30 days, and it is removed from backups within a further 30 days.
- Recordings you delete in the app: deleted when you delete them (and from backups as above).
- Content you added to a script shared with others (such as lines or stage directions you edited) may stay in that script for its other members after you leave it. If you are the only admin of a script that other people are on, you can hand it over to one of them when you delete your account; a script you do not hand over is deleted within the same 30 days, for everyone on it. Your recordings and private notes are deleted.
- Invitations that are not accepted: deleted when the invitation is cancelled, or after 30 days.
- Technical logs and crash reports: up to 90 days.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Records we must keep by law (for example invoices): for the period the law requires.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
- Delete your account in the app under Account → Delete account, or by writing to us. This deletes your account, your notes and your recordings, and any script you are the only admin of that you do not hand over to another member.
- Delete individual recordings in the app at any time.
- For anything else, write to privacy@rhrs.app. We will reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.gov.cz.
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and providers that meet recognised security standards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you about a breach where the law requires.
9. Children
The Service is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service develops. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by e-mail before it takes effect.
